MC Jack in the Box, a featured artist on Jason Brock’s new album “Fly On”, recently uploaded a remix of the title track, adding funk infused beats to pitched-shifted vocal samples, thereby creating ‘Superfly.’

The track is the first of a steady stream of remixes from the ‘longtail’ of Jason Brock’s independent digital release. ‘Superfly’ is available for free under the creative commons copyright.

FREE DOWNLOADS AVAILABLE STARTING MARCH 20TH FOR A TEN DAY PERIOD TO KICK OFF ALBUM RELEASE.

Today we’ve released songs from the project album “Fly On” as free unrestricted 256kbs MP3 files for a limited time in advance of the traditional CD and vinyl releases due out later this year. Planned release of Samples, remixes, lyrics and artwork will also be forthcoming from the website creating an interactive experience for fans and artists alike.

Fans are encouraged to participate in this multi-dimensional release by choosing favorite songs, favorite album order, and favorite lyrics. “Fly On” is the second solo recording following up the 2004 release of “Plant The Seed”

Last Friday I joined Toulouse Holliday (above) with Dana Harlow (below) to cut some guitar tracks in Glendale. Dana is helping produce an album for Hip Hop Afro-beat artist Imiuswi (also pictured below).

We see a lot of burning man, but we don't really get to hear much of it. So I got this cool little hand held recorder and recorded some of our experiences while in Black Rock City. I went with Emily, and we met DVD Jon and Monique at the event. I mixed in a few tracks and BooYa, Burning Man podcasts for you to download, listen and Burn!

If you hear acoustic in the track, this is the guitar that produced it. She's my baby. On another note, Sunday at Coachella friggin' rocked. Gnarls Barkley took the stage as the sun was setting and blew my mind. They were all dressed as characters from The Wizard of OZ and proceeded to rock the Gobi Tent. Emily hurt her ankle so we missed Tool, yeah I know. But Gnarls kicked it. We have a trip planned to Moab but the ol' ankle is not healed yet. We'll see. I'll keep you updated.
